Venessa Mclean was born to the family of the legendary Bertram Mclean (Ranchie) singer song writer and musician. Mclean’s musical journey began at the age of ten (10) in the Full Gospel Deliverance Church of God where she became a member of the Junior choir and subsequently sang solo and as a member of the church’s mass choir.
Her main influence came from her father Bertram Mclean (Ranchie) who played the bass guitar and Key board and was one of the most highly demanded studio musician. He worked with artist such as Jimmy Cliff and various big names in the industry.
She was also influenced by her mother Mrs Beverlyn Green who was a woman of God a missionary and a member of the New Testament Church of God Spanish Town Choir and her uncle Gray Patch Gospel artist. Mclean’s favourite artists are Shirley Caesar, Donnie McClurkin and the Grace Thrillers.
Ms Mclean is also the holder of a law degree and masters in law and is a published author in the areas of Legislative drafting, policy and women’s rights.
Ms McLean has released the following songs Mama’s Prayer and Footsteps and is currently working on an album.
