RIZZ SA has been in the music game professionally since 2005, and has worked with the likes of hot-on-the-scene rapper and founder of Ambitious Entertainment, EMTEE, and FEEZY from Native Rhythms.
He pursued music at the age of 18 and kicked off his career at the University of Johannesburg. He started participating in the hip-hop battle sessions also visiting other townships and cities, following which a number of great things happened to start his career in music. That period “around 2006, he met all the right people (within the music industry, and he got to work with a lot of controversial mainstream artists like PROKID,” RIZZ said. He later he met EMTEE (from Ambitious Records); and they created uploads of hit tracks, one of the popular singles being no lie featuring EMTEE. He is at the point where he wants to have his own record label and manage a few upcoming hot artists.
His biggest short-term goal is to focus on RIZZ SA in order to get his music out and expand his goals. The record label will be his long-term goal aiming at accommodating more upcoming artists in growing the industry talents, thus changing the music game. RIZZ SA first offering titled “No lie” featuring EMTEE was produced by Ruff ATM (Producer from AMBITIOUZ entertainment (one of SA’s major record labels).
RIZZ SA, is originally a trapster who records Hip-hop, Kasi rap/rap, Soul RnB trap and Afro-soul music. My music is performed in 3 languages i.e. Zulu, Xhosa, English and tsotsi taal. My music talks to nations and is more of a feel good and motivational to society.
This Hip-Hop/Trap and RNB artist is not just the founder of light-forest music, but also has a professional qualification behind his name in BCOM Informatics from the university of Johannesburg. He stated that: “I am someone who loves music very much, but I had to cover my back in life so I got educated hoping I can raise funds to aid my career.
The musician is well on his way to releasing his new mix tape, and hopes that a number of singles will make the top 50 places on popular South African and American charts. He Wants to be able to compete with the likes of rap group, young money, among others, and to take over the music world with positivity.
He stated that: “my music is always written with positive words and it’s about what’s going on in life. People want to relate the music to what they’re going through, so i want to sing about the experiences that make them happy,” he concluded.
He also performed in a number festivals hosted by the ANC (African National Congress, and Kaizer Chiefs i.e. ANC manifesto 2019(rally) at Moses Mabhida stadium, BACK2THECITY festival (Africa’s biggest hip hop festival), king Zwelithini’s annual MASKANDI (SA Music Genre) music festivals etc. Alongside SA’s biggest icon “Zola 7”
