Has been surrounded by a blend of international sounds and impressions after following her parents’ footsteps around the globe – traveling East Asia to the Middle East. Originally trained as a classical oboist, she discovered the world of jazz and soul at the age of 16 as she began to perform regularly at jazz festivals, music venues & lounges, fronting ensembles and collaborating with elite musicians.
Her voice has been described as a smooth blend between the soulful power of R&B, combined with the passionate sensitivity and improvisational fluidity of jazz. With her mature voice and sparkling personality, she has blazed a path in the Asian jazz and popular music scenes, bringing a wealth of experience, craft and virtuosity to each project. Her bilingual English-Mandarin performance abilities and cultural upbringing equips her with the ability to command the stage and connect with an international audience. Ultimately, she desires to connect the world through music – the one language that every culture shares.
In 2017, her electro-fusion band Ultrahang won first place at the Taichung International Jazz Festival Competition. Most recently, she was a resident vocalist at Taipei’s premiere music lounge, SMEXY. She has also appeared as a resident vocalist at Brown Sugar, featuring as the lead singer of MODA directed by award-winning music director MUSA. Additionally, has performed live on national Taiwanese television and appeared in many session recordings.
