I have two different services. I am an American Songbook singer, but also including Beatles, Eagles, and some country music.
I also am a singer/songwriter. While I do have a lot of original music, I am able to write an original song for your event.
I have a categoric knowledge of standards, songs from the 40s all the way to the mid 70s. I also know more modern music, and I’m able to learn any song quickly. My writing style is of the late 60s to mid 70s. I have been told I sound similar to Kurt Elling and James Taylor, but I can emulate any style that fits your needs.
I have been singing my entire life and I have been playing rhythm guitar for most of that time. I also bring a community of musicians if the need is larger than a solo artist. I am classically trained but I have also trained with Michelle Weir, a respected jazz composer and arranger and Jane Monheit. I have performed with some of the best studio and touring musicians in the industry including: Rich Eames (piano), Dave Moscoe (piano), Dori Amarilio (guitar), Michael Farrell (Music supervisor – American Idol and piano) andTodd Hunter (piano and music supervisor for Dionne Warwick). I have two CDs that have had amazing musicians on it, both recorded at Dori Amarilio’s studio. I am, with some rehearsal, able to sing classical style. I can sing in any style that you’re looking for, but I excel in love songs and story telling songs. My influences are Sting, James Taylor, Carole King, Frank Sinatra, Kurt Elling, Jamie Cullum, to name a few. I have had two shows at the Gardenia Restaurant and Lounge, so I’m very experienced with performing live with a band.
