Some Lovely Lads

We had our wedding in Santorini and Some Lovely Lads absolutely blew ours and our guests socks off!

They were already at the venue when I arrived and John was ready to greet me and discuss the setlist as I was quite particular about the songs I wanted the guys to play and the order of them. We had discussed this over email but I was made to feel very at ease when discussing this in person.

He even leant my brother in law his guitar to play the song when my wife was walking down the aisle which was hugely appreciated.
It started with an acoustic set during our cocktail hour, which turned into a bit of a party with John taking requests from the groomsmen. Then after dinner the full band kicked in with an amazing setlist of songs, getting the party started.

All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about the Sone Lovely Lads for days after the wedding and we keep reminiscing about different elements of the set, particularly some of the groomsmen getting us on their shoulders for the opening track!

The band had a great mix of banter and professional musicianship. If we have any more events over in Greece, Some Lovely Lads will be the first on the invite list!

We had the band play at our rented villa in Rhodes and they were amazing!

I had the absolute pleasure of hiring Jonny for my engagement, which took place in a unique setting — on a boat in a bay in Rhodes.

From the very start, Jon, the lead singer, was incredibly supportive and enthusiastic about my somewhat unconventional idea.

His energy, positivity, and professionalism made it clear that he was ready to bring this vision to life, no matter how crazy it seemed. Jon arranged to come out to the bay on a separate boat, bringing all the equipment needed for this special moment.

Despite the logistical challenges, he never once hesitated. His dedication to delivering an unforgettable performance truly set him apart. The set Jon played was absolutely perfect — fantastic vocals, and a playlist that captured the exact mood I wanted for this intimate and romantic moment.

His performance created an atmosphere that made the engagement all the more special. Jon’s belief in my idea and his commitment to making it happen was truly remarkable. Later that day we were able to listen to the full band Some Lovely Lads which had a gig in a bar and I can’t recommend The Lads enough for anyone looking to create a magical experience.
