Tom Barras is a young musician who has built a reputation for a varied set and an excellent stage presence. With 100s of gigs under his belt including some festivals he knows how to get the crowd involved. He has recently been recognised by Firestone as a 'star of the future' and as a result will be playing The Firestone Stage at Birmingham Arena in November.
He has his standard show which includes songs from across the decades and genres and has recently developed the "Tom Barras ModChester Experience" which combines the best of the Mod scene e.g. The Jam (he has been described as a young Paul Weller) with the best of Manchester e.g. The Stone Roses (his favorite band).
Tom has also won a Pride of Shropshire Award having busked for 25Hours and 5 mins (the 5mins was the encore!) raising thousand of pounds for a homeless charity. He was awarded the Mayor's Award for services to music and his community which includes running his own annual youth music event which gives U18 musicians the opportunity to perform.
He's most at home in rowdy venues and upbeat parties with the opportunity to get people singing and dancing.
