Greetings! We are an acoustic duo from Cornwall; now living in London. Using vocal harmony, guitar, percussion and occasionally cello, we write and perform songs about beaches, cliffs and shipwrecks, inspired by the landscape we grew up in. In addition to playing our own material, we also have a storming covers set.
We have performed at numerous events, including Glastonbury Festival 2013-17, and have provided support for Joan Armatrading, Julie Felix, Chris Wood and Rodney Branigan. Our self-titled debut album is available on various music platforms as well as our website.
For our wedding we wanted an acoustic band to kick-off the evening reception and someone recommended The Sea Kings. They judged the room perfectly, and were a great band to get the whole thing going. We loved their own take on all the popular classics with a couple of catchy folk tunes thrown in for good measure, and for me there was simply an overwhelming sense of “ phew I’ve booked a great band!”. The perfect accompaniment to any wedding, like tartare sauce to fish and chips. Ben Holtaway
Thank goodness for The Sea Kings! They stepped in and saved the day for my 40th birthday party after the first band let us down at the last minute. Everyone loved their song choices and were up and dancing straight away. They even played one of my favourite songs - Solsbury Hill! Miranda Clarke
I’ve had The Sea Kings at my pub several times and they always go down extremely well. For a 2-piece they’ve got a big sound and loads of energy. I look forward to having them back again. Adam Robinson, landlord of The White Lion, Hertfordshire
