Glenn Crytzer

About

The Glenn Crytzer Orchestra (and small combos comprising members of the orchestra) is the world’s premiere ensemble presenting the authentic sounds of the Jazz Age and Swing Era. Ensembles range in size from the full-sized orchestra (25 pieces) or big band (17 pieces) to small combos from 2-8 members.

Big band and American Songbook classics from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s performed authentically to the sound of the period.

The GCO and its subsidiary combos have performed at venues across the US at public, private, and corporate events including performances at venues like the Lincoln Center, the Rainbow Room, The Marriot Marquis, the Hilton Midtown, the Plaza Hotel, Steel Stacks, the Patchogue Theater, the Sidney and Berne Davis Arts Center, the Shalin Liu Performing Arts Center, the Glen Echo Ballroom, Pegu Club, the University Club, the Players Club, the Harmonie Club, the Metropolitan Club, and many more.

They were named Best Group in the 2017 NYC Jazz Awards and their 2019 holiday album, Underneath the Mistletoe, made Rolling Stone’s list of notable Christmas albums that year. Their recordings have been licensed more than 100 times for TV, Film, Podcast, Advertising, and Video Games including Detective Pikachu (Warner Brothers), Pretty Little Liars and Agent Carter (ABC), The Valet (Hulu), Christopher Robin (Disney), Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities (Netflix), Bomb Girls (CBC), Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (Australian Broadcasting Corp), Freakonomics, Facebook, Ancestry.com, and many more.

Reviews

I hired the Glenn Crytzer Orchestra for the biggest social event of the decade at our Club: the celebration of our 90th anniversary.

The band couldn’t have been better. Glenn is the consummate professional, a delight to work with, and a musician/bandleader beyond compare.

All our members raved about their performance and choice of music. The Glenn Crytzer Orchestra is the real deal!

Glenn’s band played at our elegant rooftop party in Manhattan and provided the perfect music.

During cocktail hour, dinner & post dessert. They set a beautiful tone, and the party ended with everyone on their feet dancing.

I HIGHLY recommend this band!

We had a great party, and as always, it is the music that sets the stage. I would highly recommend Ace for the connection to Chris and his band members. All that attended loved the change from the typical.

We get a lot of demand from bands wanting to play here and dealing with the calls can take up a lot of time. Much easier to just tell them to sign-up on your site.
