Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and a longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, Mike Johnson has been captivating audiences since the early 1990s. With decades of experience as both a professional performer and music educator, Mike brings a rich musical history to every stage he steps on.
Mike began his career fronting the popular band Seven Miles Out, which toured large venues throughout the Southeastern U.S. His talents have since taken him across countless stages, including the vibrant music scene in St. Augustine, where he’s become a fixture — performing solo and in a variety of dynamic band lineups.
Currently, Mike leads the high-energy band Live Stream, known for delivering a powerful mix of southern rock, blues rock, alternative country, contemporary country, and classic rock and roll. Their genre-blending sound draws a wide and loyal fanbase, thanks in no small part to Mike’s smoky, sultry vocals and commanding stage presence.
As a vocalist and acoustic guitarist, Mike is praised for his emotive delivery and technical precision — often performing intricate melodic runs with ease and soul. A skilled songwriter, his original music adds a unique layer to his live performances. His single “Full Time Habit” stands out as an alternative country gem, showcasing his lyrical depth and the band’s organic chemistry.
