The Jazz Catz

Our musical concept is at ones to cover a wider spectrum of different genres of jazz with the love for Latin/groovy rhythms, to blend Latin rhythms with funk and combine it with a more contemporary sound like Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and a sound signature a la Weather Report. We are experienced musicians and do what suits the client best!

Jazz, Funk, Soul, Groovy, Vibey, Feel good music. Our repertoire is a mix of our original music and popular cover songs.

One of our highlights was to be part of the Oude Molen Jazz Festival with Ian Smith, Allou April, Sammy Webber, Auriol Hays.

We are in the TOP20 on Vuka Online Radio “The Best of azz. Also we are nominated for the 5th Mzantsi Jazz Awards in two categories, “The Best International Collaboration and “The Best Contemporary Jazz Album”. Our Album “Sambas, Bossas and more” 2017, Album “Maiden Voyage” 2019, Ryan’s dream (single) 2019, Album “Timeless” Aug. 2020. Recently released single “Sunday Morning Groove” Jan 25. 2021. Our new album “Con Fusion” was released on 26 August 2021.

The band covers a wide spectrum of different genres of music, ranging from jazz, fusion, smooth jazz, commercial music etc.
