For over 25 years, our band has performed jazz in concert settings, at corporate events, private parties, festivals, weddings, dinner-dances and clubs/restaurants.
We also specialize in background jazz for events by organizers looking for fine music that allows your audience to have conversations and socialize.
Our band strives to create a classy experience when playing at parties and planned events, and we can also change gears and blast out high-energy jazz from the concert stage if you desire.
We can give you any kind of jazz, from swing to big band, New Orleans, the standards of the American songbook, bebop, bossa nova, Latin jazz and smooth jazz.
We can mix in other styles, too, including blues, pop, rhumba, cha cha, church music and even polka (two of the band are from central Europe).
If you prefer, we can shrink down to a trio to save money or be quieter, and we often play as a duo (perhaps using a discrete backing track to flesh out the sound).
Our guys are top notch, highly trained. One is a Berklee grad. One played with the Hungarian national orchestra. One played with the Cuban national orchestra. But we all love the freedom of jazz and improvising.
Because we all read music, we are happy to take requests for almost any jazz song … often on the spot.
If you want something other than our 4 instruments, we work regularly with lots of other talented folks, including female and male singers, guitarists and horn players who can join us or sub for one of our regulars.
Our band members have been playing for our entire adult lives, several of us being full-time musicians, music teachers and/or church music director.
We will work closely with you about your event and music needs, so hiring us means you will get exactly what you want.
We have a full sound system, and are self-contained and low maintenance. All we need is a small cleared area and one electrical outlet.
