Esther Flatters is an avant-garde jazz singer and pianist. She draws her inspiration from the extravagance and joie de vivre of the 1930s big band era and fusing it with a refreshing 21st century twist.
Her dramatic demeanour draws inspiration from vintage pin-up models, bucking the trend with burlesque inspired attire and classic, vintage style.
Classically trained in vocals, piano and violin since the tender age of four, Esther was quick to develop a flair for music and song writing. Her family fed her enthusiasm for music, nurturing her exploration of different musical styles.
Esther admirably rubbed shoulders with a string of the biggest Motown legends of the 70s and 80s when she was invited to join the star-studded line-up for American impresario David Gests UK tour. She befriended and worked alongside an array of inspiring musicians including; The Temptations, Percy Sledge, Billy Paul, and Ben E King. "I got to showcase my music to all these artists all showering me with rave reviews."
Her music showcases her exceptional song writing ability, but also displays some more disparate influences.
Having travelled across the globe, Esther has been wowing crowds with burlesque inspired compositions and popular jazz covers through South East Asia, Australasia and the South Pacific Islands.
Having sung with high calibre artists, her music has dazzled across the world.
