Eli Williams has gone from being an Elvis fan to being an award winning Tribute Artist, his dynamic tribute highlights Elvis Presley's triumphant landmark performance in his Singer TV Special, or, as it has become known, the 68 Comeback. Eli goes on further from the Special to pay tribute to Elvis' 1969 Return to the bright lights of Las Vegas and his astounding documentary Elvis: Thats the Way it is.
Eli, who's from Vancouver British Columbia, Canada, has been an Elvis fan since he was a small child and was exposed to original vinyl albums. As time progressed, he became hooked by the dynamic music and unparalleled style of Elvis Presley. His dreams quickly became to show this admiration for the King of Rock 'n' Roll through paying an honest, heartfelt, and meaningful tribute to him.
In 2007, Eli met Brian Simpson, 4 time World Champion and instructor of the World's only Elvis school, Elvis 101. Immediately, he enrolled, and has never looked back. Through much hard work, and dedication, Eli has earned a spot in the Ultimate Elvis Show, as he pays tribute to Elvis Comeback years (1968-1970).
Eli's young career was changed drastically by winning the Grand Champion crown at the 2012 Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival, which is an annual EPE registered event, held every summer in Penticton. With that win, Eli was entered into the Ultimate Elvis, World Championships in Memphis, Tennessee in August during Elvis Week.
Eli was extremely successful in Memphis, finishing top 15 in the King of the World, out of 96 competitors and in the top 29 in the World in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, EPE's official Tribute Artist Contest.
In January 2013, Eli won the first Ultimate Elvis Contest in Waikiki, Hawaii, put on by Legends in Concert. This win qualifies him to compete once again at the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Championships during Elvis Week in August in Memphis, Tennessee. And at the Images of the King Championships that year, Eli won 5th place in the Concert Years division, despite his airline losing his luggage, through massive help from family and friends, Eli was able to get a wardrobe for use.
2014 saw Eli qualify for the Memphis, Tennessee world championships for a 3rd year in a row by winning the Pala Casino Elvis Contest in beautiful sunny Southern California over the St.Patrick's Day Long weekend. He is very excited to be a representative once again in Memphis.
In 2015, Eli, along with Blue Morris, created the multimedia extravaganza, Elvis 68: The Show. A complete recreation of Elvis' historic 1968 'Comeback Special', presenting all the music and memories of this landmark performance. The show has now been performed to record audiences to rave reviews all over Canada. Stay tuned for future dates!
Eli recently performed as the star of ELVIS & FRIENDS at the legendary Memories Theatre in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where he performed for 2 seasons. As well as performing as Elvis, Eli is currently embarking on a career of original music with his latest release, Let's Get Outta Here!
Eli Williams performs the entire repertoire of Elvis Presley covering all the eras of his career from: The Sun Records Days and Early Shows of the 1950s into his years in Hollywood in the 1960s and as The King's career was re-energized in the late 60s into 1970 through his first shows in Las Vegas and finally into the Pomp and Circumstance of ELVIS IN CONCERT in the 1970s.
“Eli is a stellar performer. 50s Elvis is immortalized with his authentic energy and dance moves and attitude, not to mention the sound – his band ROCKED!” ~Ava Ryerson Talent Buyer, Hard Rock Cafe Seattle
We knew Eli's performance with with the Hang-Ten Hangmen at our USO tribute event was going to be good. We didn't know it was going to be THAT good, and that he would nail the Army-era Elvis persona so perfectly, right down to the uniform. Eli's got the look, the voice and the moves! He's also an engaging performer who interacts with his audience members, sings to them and with them, and he even came to the edge of the stage to ham it up in selfies with our excited guests. The venue was a large hotel ballroom with a big stage and about 500 guests. From the moment he made his entrance, Eli commanded the entire room, and I can hardly describe how much fun everyone had at the show. I hope we have the opportunity to bring him back for future events. I cannot recommend Eli's talent and professionalism more highly. -Greg Clapp, Producer, Tiki Kon
“A wonderfully entertaining performer and show. Eli has a great voice and with the costumes and personality, he truly brings Elvis back to life. A favourite night with our guests” ~Curtis, Food and Beverage Manager, Sylvia Hotel
“Eli “The Tigerman” Williams amazed guests with his award winning tribute show in the Gateway 21 room at Lake City Casinos. We were taken back to the 1950's as "Elvis" gave us his all. His incredible Tennessee voice and dazzling costumes wowed. He had a strong stage presence, and even walked around the audience singing 'Love me Tender' and rewarding a few lucky ladies with a kiss.” ~Lake City Casino, Kelowna
"Eli showed up hours before the party to set up his sound system and speakers and then showed up at the exact appointed time dressed in his white jumpsuit! Eli’s own sideburns really add to the authentic Elvis look. Eli’s voice was a perfect match for Elvis’s voice and Eli had some of the women swooning! Eli’s performance, choice of songs and sense of humour were a hit at our party. He had the crowd laughing and I’ll never forget when he started singing “Suspicious Minds” how everyone started singing along with him. Several of our guests asked for his card and number after the event. Eli’s performance kicked our party up an extra notch and the day after the party, several friends called us to thank us for a great party and told us that Elvis was a big part of their fun. I would highly recommend hiring Eli for your next event." ~ Susan and Bob Grewal, Ladner
"We have an annual event for Elvis’s birthday. Eli has been our go-to Elvis for years. He has quite the following and as it starts getting close to January the seniors start asking me about Elvis and they only want to hear that Eli will be coming back again this year. He is extremely professional and comes in Elvis’s signature jumpsuit and one has to take a second take as hear looks just like Elvis. As far as I am concerned, there is only 1 Elvis in the Vancouver area and his name is Eli Williams." ~Geoff, Events Co-ordinator, Barclay Manor (Vancouver)
" I'm sure with eyes closed you would swear "The King" himself was there! The outfit, the hair, the voice....all amazing. There were around 20 ladies in attendance and Eli (Elvis) did not dissapoint. I know the guys would have enjoyed it just as much as we did. And to add to the fun, Elvis had a fantastic sense of humor. Everyone had smiles on their faces. This will be talked about for years to come! Will definitely be booking again!" ~Cheryl D., Ladner, BC
