Damian has been an acoustic musician and singer for over 30 years. He started off singing to backing tracks and was involved with some of the first karaoke machines to be introduced into the uk demonstrating them to potential customers.
Some will remember his weekly appearances in The Rose (twice weekly there!!) and the "Rats ole" (Grenfell Arms) as a rather green gilled teenager singing 50's and 60's songs in the mid 80's plus countless appearances with his old singing pals Sam Boyd and Andy West all over the area . Others may remember him as the singing chef at The Palm Court restaurant .
Along the way Damian has worked extensively as a session singer in various studios providing backing vocals and harmonies for original artists and making demo songs for the wider music industry.
After a while, when everyone had climbed on the karaoke/backing track bandwagon, he then learnt to play the acoustic guitar with the help of his friend Sam Boyd, leading him on to what he does now.
However the backing tracks still come out once in a while for a bit of Frank Sinatra in his Rat Pack set.
Over the years he has played up and down the country including as far as Scotland, Wales and Ireland but mainly in the local area having played for years in residencies which have become legendary in the area, The Hand and Flowers in Maidenhead lasted for 11 years every Sunday! The Henry VI in Eton on a Friday ran for almost 12!
Damian also spent a year as a children's entertainer! A job that saw him train as a dancer! Not really his field! He was the first entertainer ever cast at Legoland Windsor when it opened in 1996.
