I am the managing director of an independent fashion label which is music tinged throughout. In 2017 I held an important industry launch party in London with invitations going to press, bloggers, columnists, fashion publication editors, artists, dancers, music producers, celebrities, as well as investors, accountants etc. The party had to be perfect and I had one shot at getting it right. It was my responsibility to carefully select the music to be played throughout that would appeal to and hold the interest of a completely eclectic mix of important guests. The music was a crucial aspect of the event that I could not afford to make a mistake on. Enter Clark Berger. Inevitably, having played since a small child, Clark is a remarkably talented musician; playing with such ease as though it is second nature to him. Clark also possesses a certain charisma which he (quite unknowingly) exudes whilst playing, with just the right amount of interaction with the audience so that they feel they have been part of moving and fantastic night which will be memorable to them. He was also observant and sensitive to the purpose of the event. Clark was able to subtly adjust his style of playing throughout the night: first softly while people were nibbling and chatting, introducing themselves; he also had an openness about him, which drew other performers to step up to the stage for an impromptu performance. He was able to move such a differing range of people, from cool DJs to investment bankers – he created an environment that totally knitted everyone together – it was amazing. At the final, late night stage of the party, the DJ came on and Clark continued to play, together they put on a show – it was spectacular, then other artists came forward and started to perform – all totally improvised! It was a spectacular amalgamation for a closing finale to the evening and this was all entirely due to Clark Berger. Clark plays beautifully, but there is something more; he is a one-off; unique; incomparable; first class and captivating. You don’t hear Clark playing - you feel him. Clark is a very pleasant and likeable person who is very easy to work with. Discovering Clark was the best thing that ever happened to Jam London and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him for any type of event or stage performance.
