Caliban's Dream:- Katy Marchant and Steve Tyler have many years experience performing medieval and Tudor music on period instruments such as bagpipes, hurdy gurdy, cittern, shawm, recorder, gemshorn, gothic harp, pipe and tabor and more, performing as a costumed duo, trio or larger band as required for events, weddings, films/tv, education etc.
They often work with early dance expert Ricardo Barros who can lead groups in dancing and perform some display dances. They are also players of traditional and new music and have performed with various bands throughout the UK, Europe and Scandinavia.
"Superb, I absolutely love your music" Alan Lee, Artistic Director, Lord of the Rings Trilogy
" Thank you, you made my wedding anniversary special" Lord Mayor of London
"I just wanted to send my thanks personally for your part in making Saturday such an excellent day for us. Your playing at the feast really created the perfect mood for us - especially with the fanfare provided for the arrival of Richard and Anne: many people. myself included, had a definite frisson as they walked in and took their places, and I have received many comments from banquet attenders saying how impressed they were with the music, and that they felt that they had played a part in the day's history." Northern Dales Richard III Group
"The music and dancing at the feast was wonderful and really helped to contribute to a magical atmosphere. My favourites were the dances involving the masks . . . I really think that it was one of our most memorable events ever (and I suspect that most of the people who attended would agree with me). Please pass on our thanks to Katy, Tim, and Ricardo!"
